In January 2020, while on a flight to Los Angeles, Rob Spampinato began to conceptualize a podcast that would showcase the unique journeys of touring musicians. How did they get started? What tips would they want to give the next generation? Little did he know, the world was about to be rocked by a pandemic, forcing many in the music industry to pivot and adapt. Despite the challenges, Rob decided to pursue his podcast idea, and over the next three years, he interviewed renowned artists such as Steve Vai, Phil X, Richard Fortus, Devin Townsend, Andy Wood, Nita Strauss, Billy Sheehan, Jeremy Popoff, Living Colour, Paul Reed Smith, Adam Neely, Yvette Young, Mark Lettieri, Tim Pierce, Rudy Sarzo, Bruce Kulick, Zach Myers, SNL guitarist Jared Scharff, Andy Timmons, Ryan Roxie, Bumblefoot, Mark Holcomb, Nick Perri, Todd Kerns, and Pete Thorn, and many others. Through his interviews, Rob discovered what made each artist’s journey both similar and different, providing a fascinating glimpse into the lives of those who bring us the music we love.
